June 23rd, 2013 the love of my life asked me to be his wife! I am so so so happy! I thought I would share this knowing that SLP's out there would appreciate it! Thank you Pinterest!
Once upon a time, I wasn’t a Speech-Language Pathologist. Crazy right? My identify for so many years, has been that I am an SLP. But yes, before I went into the field I was actually a golfer. That was my identify for the majority of my life. My dad, Charlie Mahon, is a Class A PGA Golf Professional. My older brother, Charlie Mahon Jr., ran golf courses for most of his career and played for UMKC in college. My older sister, Courtney Mahon, she is now an LPGA Teaching Instructor and played for the University of Arkansas in college. My mom, our biggest cheerleader! I guess you can say I was born into a golfing family and it appeared that golf would be my destiny. May is one of my most favorite months of the year! It is Better Speech and Hearing Month! This is the perfect time of the year to spread awareness of all of the wonderful services that Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists can provide to the community. In honor of the month I created a helpful handout that explains the roles and the opportunities of a speech-language pathologist. If you know of a friend that is interested in the field, this is the perfect handout! Hop on over to my store and pick up your free version! https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Better-Speech-and-Hearing-Month-2531396 How will you celebrate Better Speech and Hearing Month?

I found this treatment app about one year ago and it is hands down the best treatment app that I have ever used! Best part…it’s free! TxTools is an app from PediaStaff. This app has 5 major functions: a counter, percentage calculator, timer, age calculator, and IEP tracker. This app allows for me to take data in real time without having to worry about calculating later on in the day. I am able to complete my daily notes usually by the end of each treatment session. I do not work in the schools so I do not use the IEP tracker. The only change I wish was available on this app would be the ability to track multiple goals at once via the counter or the percentage. ...
Congrats! Those are awesome:)
